Dr. Anna Sala participates in the International Retina Panel in Tel Aviv

Dr. Anna Sala Puigdollers took part in the International Retina Panel and Mentoring Programme, held in Tel Aviv on 18-20 November. This was the first of a series of mentorship courses on retina organised by Allergan. These will run for three years and will include Dr. Sala as a representative of Spain’s retina specialists.

This is the third group to carry out this international programme on retina following the resounding success of its first two editions.

The sessions in the Israeli capital were led by Dr. Javakrishna Ambati (Kentucky University) and Professor Anat Loewenstein (Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center), who will be the group mentors for the next three years.

The meeting dealt with current issues related to retinal research; the participants presented and discussed clinical cases and analysed some recently published articles of great clinical and scientific interest.

The next meeting will take place in Baltimore during the ARVO 2017 Annual Meeting.
