Dr. Jordi Monés to talk on the evolution of choroideremia at the conference Choroideremia: knowledge and therapy

Dr. Jordi Monés, MD, PhD, the Medical Director of the Institut de la Màcula, will give a talk on the classification and evolution of choroideremia and the structure of the retina in patients with the pathology.
The talk will form part of the conference Choroideremia: knowledge and therapy to be held on 16-17 September and organised by the Spanish Choroideremia Association with the collaboration of the University of the Basque Country.
Choroideremia is a degenerative disease of the retina characterised by progressive vision loss. It is a hereditary condition, linked to the X chromosome, marked by the degeneration or atrophy of the capillary lamina of the choroid. A rare disease, it affects one in every 100,000 people.
