Dr. Nieto, expert in oculoplastic surgery at the Instituto de la Màcula, invited to the Refresher Course held by the Fernandez-Vega Ophthalmological Institute in Oviedo

Dr. José Nieto is to take part in a course which reviews oculoplastic surgery techniques to be held at the prestigious Fernandez-Vega Ophthalmological Institute in Oviedo (Asturias) on 10-11 May.

The Institut de la Màcula specialist will provide two lectures (Friday and Saturday) on upper eyelid reconstruction and tear duct blockage repair.

Oculoplastic surgery (oculoplasty) is a very specialised ophthalmological field which focuses on diseases of the eyelids, tear ducts and the orbit. Its principal aims are the aesthetic or reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, the successful treatment of watering eye and the placement of ocular prostheses.
