Welcome to the new website of the Institut de la Màcula

This is a first for us at the Institut de la Màcula. If you have visited our website over the past few days you will have noticed its new-look in which the information on the diseases in which we are specialists, procedures and their treatment are given special prominence. Our patients, and anyone who requires information on a particular pathology, can discover highly detailed descriptions on each disease, treatment or procedure.

For the Institut’s medical team, scientific and technological research and innovation are key to guaranteeing better patient care. Consequently, the research section is especially important as this is where the latest scientific publications and projects which engage the medical team may be found. In turn, a new database enables you to link articles and projects to the pathologies they cover, thereby facilitating access to all the documentation related to a single disease.

We have worked to benefit our patients by creating a more complete, practical and accessible website, one with the greatest degree of information and rigour on the pathologies we deal with. The new website, which in the future will be available in 6 languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Arabic and Russian) boasts a special section geared to international patients who may find out everything they need to know about the Institut, including the process for arranging a visit or transport and accommodation details.

Finally, the Institut’s website, where all the latest information as well as news about its team will be periodically published, will also soon be available for tablets and smartphones.
