Dr. Monés attends ICFO Corporate Liaison Day

The annual business meeting of the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) is being held today in Castelldefells. This is an event in which the representatives of international platforms, large multinationals, local businesses and researchers all enjoy the opportunity to interact with experts on recent developments in photonic technologies.

This year’s meeting will deal with Photonics in large international research initiatives. In the morning, experts from different countries will give talks on this science while in the afternoon there will be a set of workshops with opportunities for networking.

Dr. Jordi Monés, the Director of the Institut de la Màcula, will be among those attending the meeting and will be especially interested in the lecture Gyan “John” Prakash, the Associate Director for international programmes activities of the National Eye Institute - NIH, MD USA, will deliver on Innovative global partnerships and research collaboration opportunities.

Other experts who will be attending are: Henrik Bindslev, the Director of Fusion for Energy; Jari Kinaret, of the University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden and Thomas Skordas, Head of the Photonics Unit of the European Commission.
