Dr. Jordi Monés awarded at the « Best Scientific Poster Award » at ESASO Retina Academy 2015

Dr. Jordi Monés, the ophthalmologist specialising in macula, retina and vitreous and the Medical Director of the Institut de la Màcula, awarded at the "Best Scientific Poster Award" at the 15th ESASO Retina Academy. The event held in Barcelona on 22-24 October. Dr. Monés also presented a Masterclass and spoke in a debate about Diabetic retinopathy.
The poster “Effect Of Macular Ischaemia On Visual Acuity Outcomes In Patients With Branch And Central Retinal Vein Occlusion Undergoing Individualised Treatment With Ranibizumab 0.5 Mg: Results from the BRIGHTER And CRYSTAL Studies” was awarded with the second prize. The poster showed the results of the Brighter and Cyrstal clinical trials, conducted at the Institut de la Màcula.
On 23rd October, Dr. Monés presented MasterClass Number 4: “Geographic atrophy in AMD”, together with Camiel Boon. In it, he provided the audience with the latest developments in geographic atrophy in age-related macular degeneration. On the same day, Dr Monés was among the specialists in the Panel Discussion, moderated by Francesco Bandello and Susan Bressler, which forms part of Session 4: “Anti-VEGF vs PRP in Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy”.
