Dr. Marc Biarnés teaches the course “What the Optician-Optometrist needs to know about retina diseases”

Dr. Marc Biarnés, MPH, PhD, the Coordinator of Clinical Trials and Clinical Epidemiology at the Institut de la Màcula, will teach the course “What the Optician-Optometrist needs to know about retina diseases” on 7-8 February at the offices of the College of Opticians and Optometrists in Alicante.

In the course, Dr. Biarnés will attempt to familiarise optometrists and opticians with the principal retina diseases, starting out from their ophthalmological characteristics and complementary explorations.

Dr. Biarnés will cover degenerative diseases like Age-Related Macular Degeneration; vascular diseases and those of the vitreous-retina interface together with intraocular tumours, pharmacological toxicity and dystrophies of the retina. To do so, he will explain a series of clinical cases that serve as examples of the course content.
