Dr. Sala addresses the 2nd ReadyT Symposium

Anna Sala Puigdollers, the retinologist at the Institut de la Màcula, addressed the Second ReadyT (Retina: Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment) Symposium, organised by Allegan and held in Madrid early this month.  Dr Sala took part in the section of the congress devoted to developments in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic macular oedema (DMO) and gave a talk entitled "Multidisciplinary Management of DMO: what benefits does it provide?"

Dr Sala highlighted the importance of periodic controls for those affected by diabetes and illustrated the benefits of a multidisciplinary consultation, emphasising the need for good education on diabetes in order to improve metabolic control and therefore to halt the progression of the retinopathy.
