Dr. Verdaguer participates in the 18th ESRCS Winter Meeting with a paper nominated for best communication

The 18th ESCRS Winter Meeting, organised by the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, starts today and will run until Sunday. Held at the Cankarjev Dom Congress Centre in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, the symposium will gather international experts to debate the latest developments in cornea, refractive surgery and cataract.

The main topics selected for attention this year are: improvements in cataract surgery with intraocular lenses, the applications of the Femtosegundo laser, developments in endophthalmitis and choosing the ideal intraocular lens. These four subjects will be developed over the weekend in talks, project presentations and courses.

Dr. Paula Verdaguer, the specialist in cornea, refractive surgery and cataract at the Institut de la Màcula, is among the ophthalmologists nominated for the Best Communication Prize for her paper “Four different deepness small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) procedure for the correction of myopia and myopic astigmatism”.
