The Teknon Foundation publishes its Scientific Report 2012

The document contains the scientific activities and initiatives undertaken by the Centre’s medical staff, which includes the research performed by Dr. Monés and the Institut de la Màcula

The Teknon Medical Centre’s Scientific Report 2012, which was published recently, not only gathers the scientific activity of the professionals at the Centre but also the testimonies of those who attend our facilities daily; patients, nurses, healthcare professionals and administrators.

We at the Institut de la Màcula promote what today is known as “humanisation of medicine”, which was provided from the outset, at Teknon and whose vocation is reflected in the Annual Report. Personnel at the Institut involve themselves in the interests, concerns and values of patients and also those close to them.

For this reason, we are proud to have a privileged position in the pages of the 2012 Report highlighting thescientific work carried out in 2012 by Dr. Monés, the Director of the Institut, both at national and international level.

This includes the lectures given by Dr. Monés on wet AMD and the most innovative lines of diagnosis and treatment, such as the use of anti-VEFG drugs or the individualisation of proactive treatments, provided during specialised conferences both in Spain and the rest of the world.
