The Institut de la Màcula and SegurCaixa Adeslas agree to collaborate

The Institut de la Màcula (Barcelona) will form part of the medical team of Spain’s leading health insurance company,  SegurCaixa Adeslas, after the two entities entered into a collaboration agreement.

The users of SegurCaixa Adeslas will now be able to benefit from the services offered by the Institut de la Màcula in all its specialties: macula, retina and vitreous; cornea and cataract; glaucoma  and ocular surgery.

SegurCaixa Adeslas, in which CaixaBank has a shareholding, forms part of the Grupo Mutua Madrileña. Boasting almost 50 years’ experience, it heads the health insurance market with a 27% share.

The Institut de la Màcula is an international reference centre in the treatment of the medical and surgical pathology of the macula, retina and vitreous. Attached to the Quirón Teknon Hospital of the Quirón Hospital Group, it is also engaged in active research projects and participates in clinical trials in all their phases (I, II and III).
