Dr. Paula Verdaguer to present a clinical case at the ESCRS Congress in Istanbul

Dr. Paula Verdaguer, the ophthalmologist specialising in cornea, refractive surgery and cataract at the Institut de la Màcula, is to present the clinical case “Endothelial keratoplasty in a repenetrating keratoplasty failure” at the Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Istanbul. The event will be held on 20-22 February 2015.
“Endothelial keratoplasty in a repenetrating keratoplasty failure” is a clinical case of endothelial corneal transplant (DMEK) performed on a patient with a prior penetrating keratoplasty. The details of the study will be explained in the presentation to those attending the Congress.
The Congress, which takes place twice a year, is one of the most important in the field of cornea, refractive surgery and cataract. The winter edition is held in Istanbul while the summer version will take place in Barcelona on 5-9 September 2015.
The ESCRS Congress is attended by the top ophthalmologists specialising in cornea, refractive surgery and cataract and is the venue for discussions of the most important developments in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Verdaguer a member of six scientific societies, including the ESCRS.
