The Institut de la Màcula has launched a Unit that specialises in dry eye. This department focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of the alterations that may be caused by eye conditions generically termed "dry eye" and that can affect 30% of the adult population.

The Institut de la Màcula’s Dry Eye Unit applies individualised, new and effective treatments that attack the cause of eye dryness. These include:

  • Growth factor-rich plasma.
  • Autologous serum.
  • Glandular massage for the meibomian glands (MG).
  • Ciclosporin.
  • Application of pulsed light (IPL) for the MG.
  • MG expression with heat.
  • Probing of the MG.

If you have any queries, please ring us at 93 595 01 55 or write to info@institutmacula.com
