The Institut’s low-vision specialist, Carol Camino, at “Come and See Valencia 2015” (Ven y Verás Valencia 2015)

Carol Camino, the low-vision specialist at the Institut de la Màcula and President of the Spanish Society of Low Vision Specialists (SEEBV), is to participate at “Ven y Verás Valencia 2015”. The event will be held in the Spanish city on 16-17 October.

“Ven y Verás” (Come and See) is a number of charitable actions that target those with special intellectual needs. The principal aim is the prevention, detection and care of possible eye problems.

Over the two days of the event, free optometric and ophthalmological screening will be offered to visitors. The materials needed to correct possible vision abnormalities will also be provided.

It is expected that some 100 optometrists, ophthalmologists, pharmacists and volunteers will visit the over 600 people with intellectual disabilities who use the social care centres of the Valencia Region’s disability associations.
