Dr. Jordi Monés will participate at the Congress of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Chicago

Dr. Jordi Monés, MD, PhD, the Medical Director and ophthalmologist  specialising in macula, retina and vitreous at the Institut de la Màcula will participate at the Congress of the American Academy of Ophthalmology to be held on 17-21 October in Chicago.

On behalf of a group of experts, Dr. Monés will present the results of two clinical trials on Subspecialty Day “Retina 2014: Reaching New Heights” organized by American Society of Retina, Macula Society, Retina Society and Jules Gonin Club on 18 October. These trials are "The Crystal Study: Efficacy and safety of Ranibizumab 0.5 mg in patients with visual impairment due to macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion” and "The Brighter Study: “Ranibizumab, individualised treatment, alone or in combination with laser in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion with vision loss secondary to macular edema”.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is the leading association of ophthalmologists in the United States. Its annual Congress reviews major developments in the field of ophthalmology around the world.
