The Institut de la Màcula will participate in the closure of the Science, Technology and Innovation Festival at the Parliament of Catalonia on Friday, 20 June.
The Festival has been taking place at the Barcelona Culture Institute (ICUB) since 4 June. Held since 2007, it publicises the work of scientists, engineers and companies from Barcelona in order to display a city that is committed to research and innovation.
On 5 June, the Institut attended the event “Research and company together: collaborating to compete better”, which pooled the experience of the various agents in the R&D process in Catalonia to learn of their vision in the medium and long terms.
The closing event will present a roadmap which contains specific, pragmatic action for advancing towards the aim of placing Barcelona at the forefront of research and innovation.
Those responsible for presenting the conclusions will be Dr. Lourdes Vega, the Director of MATGAS and Dr. Ricard Jiménez, the Scientific Director of the ASCAMM Foundation. The event is to be moderated by Dr. Tomàs Molina, a member of the Advisory Board of the Parliament of Catalonia for Science and Technology (CAPCIT).
The closing event will be attended by the Honourable Lluís M. Corominas, Second Vice-President of the Parliament of Catalonia, and the Honourable Jaume Ciurana, the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation of Barcelona City Council.
