Description
A phase I study to establish the safety and efficacy of the micropulse laser applied to the retinal pigment epithelium of patients with geographic atrophy secondary to dry age-related macular degeneration.
Key inclusion criteria
Patients with geographic atrophy secondary to dry age-related macular degeneration.
Objectives
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and efficacy of subthreshold micropulse laser on the RPE in subjects with GAAMD and to evaluate whether RPE regeneration occurs and progression of atrophy is delayed in the areas treated with subthreshold micropulse laser.
